Starring in this magical 1996-2003 show are

                                                       Caroline Rhea - Hilda Spellman

Quick synopsis!

Sabrina The Teenage Witch is about a young girl - you guessed it Sabrina - who is 16 when the show opens. Sabrina goes to live with her 2 aunts Hilda and Zelda Spellman, who put her in school and teacher her about her magical abilities at home. Sabrina instantly falls in with Jenny and Harvey, who before the end of the season will start to date Sabrina, Libby makes fun of Sabrina and Jenny; however, she was infatuated  with Harvey trying desperately to steal him out from under Sabrina.

Review time!

Okay the show is great - in my not so humble opinion - the characters work well together, and I think it was well casted. The jokes, while at times are odd, could be relatable if you slightly adjusted the situation and took the magic out (😋) while yes the everyday person cannot relate to having magical abilities they can relate to high school, crummy popular kids, significant other stress, and best friends.

quite a few of the episodes attack lessons on the plight of the everyday teenager with a moral to dive the lesson home; however, while they do this it feels like 25 minuets of fun  and laughter with your favourite modern witch not 25 minuets of lesson learning and how to come at a problem in your very own life.

I would recommend this show to any modern young adult. While parts of the program may feel dated - uh pay phones?! - its a great show with an awesome set of characters.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks for reading! I'll be back soon!

  1. This was one of the most popular shows of that time. All the magic used to look real and amazed a lot of kids. I wonder what Sabrina must be doing right now. I was again able to find some good shows by Andy Yeatman Netflix that had a great impact on kids and are knowledgeable as well.
